ZUT is a technical university in Szczecin – the largest city in West Pomerania, Poland- right on the river Oder and the Szczecin Lagoon. The University was officially established on Jan. 1, 2009, from the merger of the University of Agriculture in Szczecin and the Szczecin University of Technology. The University has 10 faculties with 47 fields of study. It has ~2300 employees and ~15000 students at different levels. The main goal of the University’s activity is to educate and conduct scientific research in the fields of technical, agricultural, economic, biological, chemical, and mathematical sciences. The ZUT team, led by Prof. Dr Xuecheng Chen, has extensive experience and an excellent track record on porous carbon-based materials and their application in supercapacitors and batteries.

The team has published 50+ papers on the proposal topic in international peer-reviewed journals. ZUT will lead Task 3.1 and 3.6 and activity take part in nanoporous carbon materials upscaling, hybrid zinc-ion supercap cell development, supercap cell fabrication, testing and prototyping, and project communication and dissemination.
